Event date: June 8, 2023

On Thursday, June 8, 2023, Future Prairie presented an evening of new art and music by queer and BIPOC artists at the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center in North Portland.

The gathering brought artists and community members together for an intimate night of sound, performance, and shared experience. One performance combined crystal singing bowls with electronic audio equipment, filling the room while audience members listened from chairs, blankets, and the floor.

The evening reflected Future Prairie’s commitment to creating welcoming spaces where queer artists and artists of color can share new work, experiment, and connect directly with audiences.

The event began at 7 p.m. at the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center, 5340 N Interstate Avenue in Portland.
